Jed and I are too busy and tired these days. Jed's baseball lessons have picked up and my teaching dance while pregnant just makes us both tired. We spend our evenings in front of the couch watching mindless TV or trying to get all the daily chores done before bed. We feel like we are wasting our lives together.... especially the little time we have before things get super crazy with baby Jonah. My love for Jed grows each and every day, however, we just felt like we were spending no quality time together.
Friday was the first day we decided to change things up. We decided to jump into bed at 9pm for games, reading baby books, and just talking. It was so nice. We talked for 2 hours. This brought on an idea for this entire week. No evening TV. For an entire week, we will not be watching TV when we are home together in the evening. Instead we are bringing back that creative side of us we had when we were dating.
Last night Jed and I built a tent out of couch cushions, sheets, chairs, and pillows in front of our fire place. Jed built a nice fire and we grab about 6 or 7 books. We jumped inside the tent and picked random page numbers out of each book to read to each other. It was fun and different. It reminded us of camping.
Check back often to see what else we come up with :)
