#19
I'm thankful for my creative family. I am pretty lucky to have been growing up with awesome parents and siblings, let alone the extended family (especially Eric and Evan). It's crazy how many people say they want to be apart of our family. I think that's mostly because we do creative activities all the time. Get Patrick and Eric in the same room and before you know it we are playing some weird made up game. I think back to the time we "slept in unlikely places". We took a series of sleeping pictures around my Uncle's house in places you would never see somebody sleeping. Like Lydia climbing into the dryer and Patrick laying on a bunch of shoes. Or the time we changed the rules of Slap Jack, the card game. You had to say certain things or clap 7 times before you could slap the deck. I never laughed so hard during a card game before. Even as little children, we invented new games all the time like "Haunted House" and "Jump on Pap." Now we are all grown up doing things like Top Chef and Holiday Clue. I think that's one of the reasons why Jed fits so well with the family. He's also a creative thinker. An idea man. He basically came up with Holiday Clue. In today's world of digital devices, I really hope that this creative thinking gets past down to our children. I hope to watch Sebastian, Klara, and Jonah do the same type of things when they get together.
