Monday: Jed had an off day

Last Monday, Jed had a day off. His team mate had a kayak that he offered to let us borrow. We took it out on the river between Lancaster and York. It was an overcast day with a moment of sunshine. It rained on us a bit too, but the temperature was prefect.

Then we went down to Philly to see Ok Go at the TLA. We decided to take the train down. They were so much fun! We had awesome seats. We misread the train schedule and missed the last available train home for the night. Yes, this sucked. I live about 20 min. outside Philadelphia.

We had several options: 1. Find a hotel in the area (around $100). 2. Pay a taxi ($70). 3. Stay the night in the creepy train station until 6am when the next available train arrived (we considered it for a millisecond). 4. Ask a Town Car for a flat rate home.

Town Cars are more willing to strike a deal with you. A man was waiting outside the train station with his SUV. He asked us if we needed a taxi. This was new to me and I was highly weary of jumping into some random car. He showed us his taxi ID and Jed reassured me that this was a real business. Jed and his family took one around NYC before. He agreed to take us all the way home for $40.

Enjoy this super awesome video to go with the best song! :)
