Raising Vincent #1

I'm starting to blog about Vincent, because he cracks us up...most of the time. Raising Vincent could be a sitcom. He's a character.

Today's Story: A Walk In the Park

Vincent loves to be outside. Jed and I agreed that if we move, we are seriously looking for a place with a fenced in yard. He has too much energy sometimes. He needs the outdoor. Frequently, we take him for walks at Valley Forge and each time it's a new adventure. Most of the outings consist with people telling us how handsome he is. We agree... We know how to pick 'em! We also spend most of the time laughing about he insane love of water. He runs back and forth through the water, chasing leaves and splashing. Today we decided to stay out of the water, because there was a family taking pictures where we usually let him run. So we kept on walking.

Our walk continued until Vincent stepped on a thorn bush. Shiba's are known for their over dramatic "why me" attitude, when they get the tiniest scratch. So drama dog started limping and acting all funny. We decided to walk home...
On the way back we met the family who was taking pictures by the water earlier. Their youngest was about two years old, completely cute in a bright red tutu. Vincent decided that this thing must be a toy. It's small and fluffy. So with a little hesitation, Vincent lunged forward taking a huge bite into the tutu. Almost immediately, the baby girl screamed and started to cry as her mother tried to save her.

I think they were understanding. I had warned the family that Vincent might think the tutu was a toy before they got close. He does love to play with towels and blankets at home. As we walked away the baby screamed "No No Puppy!!" I think the father was taking pictures the whole time....

sigh...

Vincent tried to eat a ballerina.
