Parent Update

Lots of posts of about Jonah.... well, pretty much all of them are. So here's one about Jed and I.

On Saturday we spent one half of our Valentine's Day. We decide that we would each take a day to treat the other. Saturday was my turn to treat Jed. I booked a reservation at El Vez. It's a gourmet, hip, Mexican restaurant down in the city. We tried a delicious guacamole, had a few margaritas, and our entrees were awesome. I got the crispy mahi mahi taco with red cabbage, avocado, and some kind of spicy sauce.  Jed got chicken enchiladas. We then went across the street to National Geographic's pick for World's best ice cream. I got pineapple mint gelato and Jed got Philly Cheesecake. It was very good. I had bought tickets for the Magic Garden, but we decided to wait and go on a warmer day. Lydia babysat Jonah and did an awesome job putting him down for a nap. This Sunday is Jed's turn to treat me. I have no idea what's planned.

Sunday was the 180 Dance performance. We did a Valentine's themed show at the Desmond Hotel. The evening not only included a performance about the 5 Love Languages, it also had food, cash bar, and a silent auction. I think Kelly put on a very nice event. I choreographed the dance about Physical Touch. It was danced between a female and male. After the performance, many people congratulated me on my piece. Two of them said it bought them to tears. It was a humble reminder that I'm good at this. I get so critical of my work, which is healthy as an artist. You should always be trying to reinvent yourself.

Jed is into baseball practices despite the snow and cold weather. He will have his first game at the end of the month.

And like always, here are some really cute videos of Jonah :)
