180 Dance Company.

So my bio and photo are already on the 180 dance website. About
I met the other member of the company tonight and what nice sweet girls. This is a small company with only 5 current dancers. We have some REALLY exciting things happening! We have shows planned for November and April. In November, Chris Eaton, a world-renowned singer/songwriter, will be visiting from the UK to perform some of his hit Christmas songs while we will be dancing (Date and location TBD).

Kelly, the director, seems so sweet. A christian herself, she has her whole church behind her. We had a fundraiser at one of the board member's house.... well, I should say MANSION. This house was huge with a home theater and two waterfalls outside. They donated 2 round trip airline tickets to Europe for one of our raffles. Kelly introduced us to the crowd and I had a nice time getting to know Crista and Natalie. They seem like people I would hang out on a regular basis.

Also, we are going to be a part of the Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts! http://www.pifa.org/ We are doing a piece based on the themes displayed in the painting Symphony in White No. 1: The White Girl by James McNeill Whistler. Set to the music of "Daphnis et Chloe" by Parisian Composer Maurice Ravel, 180 Dance Company and Moore College of Art & Design will unite to show how diversity can create harmony as they blend dance, fashion design, and fine art in a performance of peace that emphasizes message over medium. We have fashion designers, make up artists, and interior decorators designing our set. Pretty amazing. This is a huge project. Please mark your calendars! This is April 16th 2:30 and 7:30pm

I was discussing with Jed about how God has been taking care of me and blessing me in ways I would have never imagined. It's times where I don't seek out the outcome myself. God literally let's good things fall into my lap. First example, Jed. I finally was not worry with finding someone (well, more like fed up with looking). If God wouldn't have intervened, we would have not met. Jed is more amazing than anyone I could dream up. Just with talking with him last night, he's happy to share my talents within his ministry at "You and Me on a Comeback." I love his giving heart and he makes me want to love others more.

Second example, 180 dance. I came to Eastern with Dance ministry in mind. I just didn't know how.  I didn't even audition and some how I got to be a part of this amazing Dance ministry, who's goal is to reach out to the community. Not only through dance too. We will be going to homeless shelters and offering our services apart from dancing. I feel like this is God's idea. He wants me to be here and I'm so grateful that he finally led me to it.

Things are great. And all the thanks be to God.
