It was so nice to have my mom stay the week and help out with Jonah. My parents came for Jonah's dedication and my mom stayed because we were all making the trip to Johnstown for Sebastian's first birthday. We left around lunch last Friday and Jonah did awesome in the car. He had entertainment since my mom and sister were riding in the back of the car with him. We timed it so we would leave around his nap time. He slept for almost 2 hours and played the rest of the trip.

Saturday was Seba's birthday party and the house was full with young kids and babies. It was kind of crazy!! Jonah took a nap for most of it to my amazement. When he woke up however, Jonah did great with everyone holding him and get into his face. Super happy baby! We love him!
Jonah is a pea pod for Halloween this year, but because of the hurricane, we don't have a place to go with it on. We put it on for family.
Hurricane Sandy:
Jed, Jonah, Lydia, and I were suppose to travel back east on Sunday night, but decided to stay another night. Hurricane Sandy was about to make land fall and we didn't want to be driving through gusty winds. The next day we watched the weather and decided to stay Monday night as well. Johnstown is about 250 miles away from Philadelphia and still we saw some troubling weather! The winds were gusting up to 40-50mph and it started hailing Monday night. We never lost power and our neighbor told us that they didn't lose power back home either. However, many people back home in Philly did lose power that night. We left around noon on Tuesday. On the trip back, every pond, every river, and every lake I saw was flooded. There were many trees down along the turnpike, but none that were on the road. When we got home it was a maze of fallen trees to get Lydia back to her dorm room. We actually had to drive under a fallen tree to get there. Our neighborhood looked almost as we left it. There are many branches and leaves everywhere, but no fallen trees.
