This weekend was full of getting out and exploring. The Herrman's gave us a gift certificate last Christmas to Longwood Gardens. We used it this past Saturday. Laura and Katy from Maryland really wanted to meet Jonah, so I suggested they come meet us there. We also went to Half Moon near there. It's a wild game restaurant. We had an awesome wild mushroom appetizer with glazed walnuts, bread, and cheese.

For our main dishes we had wild boar sliders and kangaroo chilli! I'm not a fan of regular chilli, but I did taste it just to say I ate Kangaroo. Jonah needed to be held the whole meal or he would start crying. Thankfully in Longwood, he slept the entire time in the stroller until it was feeding time. I successfully nursed in the car before we went into the restaurant and before we went into Longwood. I also had my first "in public" nursing session too. I nurse Jonah right in the middle of Longwood gardens on a bench. It was off to the side, so we didn't run into many people at all. We went to a free concert while we were there. It was a cool Indian band (I forget the name).

Sunday we decided to go blueberry picking despite the humidity and heat. It was supposed to be over cast, but the sun was beaming when we got there. I was worried that Jonah would get sunburned being out in an open field. But to our surprise the blueberries were covered by black nets. The Weldings joined us. I also fed Jonah in the car before going out into the field. I also had to feed him again in the car before we went out to eat at Tom Jones Diner.
